Well both teams have many strenghts, but both also have problems and haven't been that impressive for the most part of the tournament.
Spain are masters of establishing midfield dominance and ''hiding'' the ball from the opposing players, effectively neutralizing the other team's chances of going forward. Couple that with a good defense and they are very difficult to score against. The problem is that despite Villa's form they are a bit predictable on offense, the generally slow pace of their elaborate passing actually seems to numb down their own attack as well as their opponents'. Plus with Torres off-form, they are quite ineffective and coplicate things too much
The Dutch are a team which seems to score loads of goals from long distance shots, setpieces and half-chances. Very few of their goals have been a product of well-executed plays - I'm not saying they don't deserve to be in the final, but they seem to have an extraordianry amount of luck with deflected shots, wondergoals, they scored two headers against Brazil due to big mistakes from the opposing defence etc.
Great midfield, but their strikers are almost non-existant (I do realize that RvP is the only one upfront, but still). How they screwed up that counter in the final seconds against Brazil.
But the really worrisome part of the Dutch team seems to be the defense. They have conceded a goal in every dingle game of the knockout stages, 1st half vs. Brazil the defending was woeful, let in 2 vs. Uruguay as well and Stekelenburg is questionable.
Not an Oranje hater, though it might seem, just think they have too many weaknesses and have been running on luck a bit. Probably will be a boring 1-0 game with Spain proving just a bit too tight.
